BPOST is the Belgian company responsible for the delivery of national and international mail. The Belgian Post Group is one of the largest employers in Belgium. It provides a range of postal, courier, direct marketing, banking, insurance, and electronic services in a highly competitive European market. The headquarters are located in Brussels.

The BPOST Group wanted to implement and leverage the Oracle EPM Cloud platform to optimize and streamline the following processes to a uniform platform with a centralized data source:

• Financial Consolidation & Close which included the configuration of the complete financial consolidation process including intercompany elimination and reporting, in Oracle Financial Consolidation & Close (FCCS).
• Planning & Budgeting which included the configuration of Oracle Enterprise Planning & Budget (EPBCS) to support the planning & budgeting process of BPOST. The goal was to have a fully centralized planning and budgeting solution that covers the necessary requirements including long-term planning, quarterly reviews, bottom-up budgeting, monthly rolling forecasts, scenario analyses…

What we did?

Melius was hired to manage the entire Project using the Prince2 methodology combined with the OUM Cloud Methodology based on Oracle’s best practices. Among the PM deliverables were Project the Initiation Document (PID), a detailed Project Plan of both (FCCS & EBPCS) phases, day-to-day Project Management of the project team, identifying issues/risks, defining change requests, etc. In addition, overall Project Management which contains managing the detailed scope, planning, budget, roles and responsibilities, quality standards, procedures, etc. to ensure project success in general.
